About Us
The Institute on Biotechnology and the Human Future is an independent research institute focused on the ethical, political, and practical questions thrown up by technological progress in the fields of medicine, pharmacology, and the biomedical sciences more widely. Our researchers look at the ways in which humans can now enhance their health and performance by utilizing the latest biotechnological advances, including nootropics, vision enhancers, prebiotics, gene editing, implants, and more. While it is very broad in focus, much of the work done by the institute's researchers focuses on the practical side of bio-hacking. The institute is currently run by the Head of Research, Nicholas Cameron.
